1. Core and peel apples.
2. Combine all ingredients in crockpot.
3. Cook on low 6 hours.

Heath Bar Brownies
1 box German chocolate cake mix
1 can evaporated milk
1 bag caramels
3/4 cup melted butter
1 bag milk chocolate chips
1 bag Heather toffee bits
1 can evaporated milk

1. Preheat oven to 350, spray bottom of brownie pan.
2. In medium bowl mix together cake mix, melted butter and 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Pour half cake mix into greased brownie pan.
3. Bake for 6 minutes. While that is cooking, melt together caramels and rest of evaporated milk.
4. Remove cake from oven, sprinkle half bag of heath bits on it. Cover with Caramel mixture. Sprinkle with half bag of chocolate chips. Cover with remaining cake mix, followed by remaining heath bits and chocolate chips.
5. Bake for 20 minutes.

Cherry Pie Filling
6 cups pitted fresh cherries
1/2 cup water

1. In medium saucepan combine cherries, water lemon juice, sugar and cornstarch. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
2. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring frequently.
3. Add vanilla extract, stir to combine.

3 lbs bone in chicken thighs
1 bell pepper, diced
2 carrots thickly sliced
1 pint cherry tomatoes
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1/4 cup raisins
1 can garbanzo beans
1/2 grated ginger root
1 brown onion, quartered and sliced
1 zucchini thickly sliced.
1 can chicken stock
3 tablespoons tomato paste
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp cinnamon
2 cloves pressed garlic
2 teaspoons ground tumeric
1 teaspoon ground cumin
sat and pepper to taste
1. Combine all ingredients in crockpot. Cook on low for 8 hours.
2. Serve over steamed rice.

Bacon Wrapped Asparagus
1 lb thick cut bacon
1 bunch asparagus
1. Wrap bacon around 1-3 asparagus spears (depending on thickness).
2. Cook in fry pan over medium heat.
**I had a problem the first time trying to keep the bacon from unrolling. You can secure it with a toothpick.

Chicken Salad Sandwiches
1 roasted chicken
1/2 red onion, diced
1 green apple, diced
20 green grapes, quartered
1/4 cup dried cranberries
3/4 cup plain greek yogurt
1 clove garlic, pressed
4 kaiser rolls
1. De-bone and dice chicken. In a small bowl, combine yogurt and garlic.
2. In medium bowl combine all ingredients (except bread) and mix well.
3. Serve on rolls.

1 box pasta (I use Rotini)
1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
2 gloves garlic pressed
4 tablespoons water
1. Cook pasta according to directions on box.
2. While pasta is cooking, start browning meat in large fry pan with water, Italian Seasoning, and red pepper flakes.
3. While other two items are cooking, cut broccoli head into bite sized pieces (I leave a few larger pieces so my toddler can gnaw on them). Add broccoli for last two minutes of pasta cooking time.
4. Drain pasta and combine all ingredients in large bowl. Stir well, serve.
*Fresh grated parmesan is great served on top.

Alfredo Sauce
2 sticks butter
1.5 cups heavy cream
1 clove garlic, pressed
1/2 shallot, finely minced
3/4 cup grated romano cheese
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
salt and pepper to taste
1. Over medium heat, melt butter with garlic and shallot in medium sauce pan.
2. Add cream, heat through.
3. Add salt and pepper. Slowly stir in cheeses, stirring continuously.

5. Sprinkle cheese over top of dish, broil for 4 minutes.

liquid steak marinade
mozzarella cheese slices
sub sandwich rolls
1. Quarter and slice onion and bell pepper. Cut chicken into small slices, or dice largely.
2. Place butter, onion, bell pepper, chicken and marinade in crock pot. Stir to coat.
3. Cook on low at least 5 hours.
4. Serve on rolls with cheese slices.

Orange Chicken
1 package boneless, skinless chicken, diced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 Asian sesame dressing
1/4 cup orange juice
1 package frozen stir fry veggies
1/4 cup peanuts, chopped
1. In a large skillet heat olive oil. Add chicken and cook through.
2. Combine dressing and orange juice. Add to skillet, heat to boiling.
3. Add veggies, cook through. Add peanuts, toss to combine.

2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 package boneless skinless chicken, cubed
1. Combine all ingredients in crockpot, stir to coat, cook on low 7 hours.
**I serve this over steamed white rice. I like it a little brothey so the rice can soak it up.

1 onion - quartered and sliced
